We celebrated my daughter's bday w/brunch @Capullo. It was my first time there & it was a great dining experience. I arrived late to tables full of food & drinks!
The mussels 5outta5! The broth & the chorizo put them over the top, & the garlic bread to sop it up with was icing on the cake.
The tostados de langosta 3outta5. They were good, lobster poached perfectly but there wasn't a lot of flavor. The chipotle sauce was surprisingly bland.
Everyone enjoyed their food! I can't remember what everyone had but no one left unsatisfied.
The service was on point. The staff was very attentive. Nice, chill atmosphere, we really had a great time.
I recently dined at Capullo Cocina Mexicana in Walnut Creek and it was a pleasant experience. We ordered a variety of dishes, including nachos, tacos, enchiladas, and birria tacos. The food was pretty good, with the standout feature being the juicy and tender meat in the tacos and birria. The choice of corn bread was appreciated, though I'm not sure if they offer flour bread.
The vibe at Capullo Cocina Mexicana was decent, falling somewhere between not particularly good nor bad. However, what truly stood out was the excellent service. The waiters were attentive and engaging, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it's a nice place to enjoy Mexican cuisine with friendly service, and I'd consider returning for another visit.
Very good vibe and ambience! Everyone was very friendly. tip is to come before 5pm, which we did, on a Friday! Got seated right away! We started with Street Corn - super yummy! Salsa was spicy, Guacamole was excellent! I had the Barbacoa de Borrego- very tasty with a spicy kick! Wife had Birria Tacos - very oily but tasty. Desert was the Platano with Ice Cream - it was okay. The Michelada with Negro Modelo was very good! We would come back and order something else.
Weekends are the best here! The bottomless cantarito drink calls my name on Sunday mornings! The food is also yummy, lots of little plates is a great way to get a tast of the menu.

Capullo is one of my favorite restaurants in Walnut Creek and one of my top favorite Mexican restaurants. Their food is authentic, always tastes fresh and prices are reasonable. Their service has always been excellent and makes Capullo one of the top restaurants for me when I visit the area. Each time I've visited they've played great music which adds to the already great experience.

Kicked it off with the most delicious mango margarita I have ever sipped on. It seriously was amazing.
We also ordered the chips and salsa. Beware that this is authentic salsa and very spicy! I can handle some spice but this was a little too much for me. They were kind enough to bring us out a milder option. The chips were great and taste house made fresh!
For my entree I went with the chicken tamalita. I love a good tamale and just thought these would be small tamales. They were but they also were fried! I would have never normally ordered this thinking the fried part was unnecessary but the added crunch was so good! I want all my tamales fried crispy now!
We finished off licking the plate clean of our churros.
Wow, amazing food. Drinks are bomb. Bottomless mojitos for $20 can't be beat. Their food is served in large portions and had intense flavor. Ingredients all very fresh. My new favorite mexican place.
